possible beginnings of Drippy : Part 1

Part 1

Meanwhile, daylight across the open grassland savannah near the hot and humid tropical wilderness, a silhouette emerges from the dense treeline. As the shadowy figure walks the beaten trail path, this figure comes more into focus -- A four legged creature. Judging from the cuts around his body, worn-out untreated hooves, yet has a well kept, gray spotted flank with fluffy short tail, he has a body that resembles half a pony, and half a deer. Dark coated complexion with gray facial goatee, and a puffy, black & gray dreadlock curls for mane that are long enough to cover his eyes, and half of his lower ears.

This deer pone has wondered the vast lands unknown to him for days, maybe a week or two non-stop. His body finally tells him he needs to stop, as he fumbles and stumbles every now and then. He listens and decides to take a nap next to a tree by the bubbly sounds of the river running down the creek. At last, it seems like he will have a much needed nap.

PECK PECK PECK PECK PECK

A woodpecker jack hammers the tree, then stops for a moment. Then starts again.

PECK PECK PECK PECK PECK

Deer pone replies with a “Sshhh!” The woodpecker acknowledges and puts on a silencer on its beak, then continues to jack hammer the tree silently, not knowing the forceful tremors are strong enough to knock down a beehive, right on the head of the resting deer pone. The angry swarm of bees attack him. “YAOW!”. He takes off the beehive and throws it randomly at a direction. “Phew”. He thought he rid of them, but they come back with higher numbers. He then jumps into the river and evades the army of bees, only to find himself heading straight to a big water fall. He tries to swim perpendicular to the current. As tired as he is, it is no use. He drops.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  e  e  e  e    e     e    e          e    …..  SPLOOOSH

Miraculously, he survived. As if the fall was not the worst of his woes. The bottom of the fall is infested with unfriendly creatures, such as eels and barracudas. He gets a hoof full of bites and electricity to his flank. Pumped with adrenaline from the shock, he somehow hurries out of the river, detaching the stuck-on barracudas and throwing them into the river. He collapses by the shore. That is it. Nothing else can possibly ruin his day.

KRAK - BOOM

Out of nowhere, a thunder cloud appeared and it begins raining, literally on top of him. The forest creatures distance themselves, and only then is this miserable pone alone at last. With rain still falling on him, he falls asleep.
